Tabvergence

How Tabvergence works

Tabvergence is a Chrome extension that gathers the open tabs from one site into a single window. Your browser might have dozens of tabs open and half of them are the same site. One click pulls them together so you can review them, keep what matters and close the rest.

Questions and answers

What is Tabvergence?

Tabvergence is a Chrome extension that gathers every open tab from the site you're on, across all of your browser windows, into one new window, so you can review them, keep what matters and close the rest.

How do I use it?

Open any page from the site you want to tidy, then click the Tabvergence icon in the toolbar. Every tab from that site, from every window, moves into a single new window. To tidy everything at once, right-click the icon and choose “Clean up all windows”, which sorts every window's tabs into one window, grouped by site.

Does it close my tabs?

No. It moves tabs instead of closing them. An optional setting, off by default, can also close exact duplicate tabs, keeping one of each.

Can I choose between one page's site and a whole domain?

Yes. The settings let you match the exact site or the whole domain, put the gathered tabs in a tab group named after the site, and decide how pinned tabs are handled.

Does Tabvergence collect my data?

No. It reads the addresses of your open tabs only on your own device to work out which ones belong together. Nothing is sent anywhere, and there is no account, no ads and no tracking. The full details are in the privacy policy.

Which browser does it work in?

Tabvergence is built for Google Chrome.

Where can I get it?

Install it from the Chrome Web Store.
